Apartheid Policy,  South Africa (1948-1992)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_South_Africa_in_the

A ruling party of whites invented in 1948 a policy called Apartheid: Different laws for whites and others (Coloured, Blacks and Indians). It was a system that had controlled the lives of millions of South African citizens till 1992. Schools for non whites weren’t comparable to the standard of  those for "white children's only" schools.

These historical facts have changed today but they still effect the lives of South Africans.
Insufficient education in the past means no sufficient income for parents to educate their children today. Even highly gifted children often have no chance to develop their talent due to insufficient funds. The government is doing a lot. But that's not sufficient.  To 'Give a Child a Future' is a concern of each and everyone of us. Never mind where we live.

Nelson Mandela: "When I was seven.."

“When I was seven, my father decided to give me something he had never enjoyed- an education.  Ever since then I have been able to appreciate the value of reading and lifelong learning.”

Nelson Mandela was for most time of his life a person called "previously disadvantaged " . The fact that he had a chance to enjoy an education was due to fortunate special circumstances.

In 1994 he, who was for over 25 years the most well known prisoner worldwide, was elected president of South Africa.

He started a new era of hope for the previously disadvantaged majority of South African citizens.

Story of  "little Pavarottis"

Hermanus is a well known little Town at the Indian ocean near Cape Town. Tourists from all over the world come here for whale watching. But many of them find another attraction under the little tree at the parking lot: Two highly talented young tenors are singing opera arias with a stunning volume in the original language. You can hear their wonderful voices over to the business centre of the city. They are poor street singers and high school students singing here to pay their school fees. Will these talented children be stars somewhere, some times?

They are kids of previously disadvantaged parents  with a minimal income just enough to survive. For them it is impossible to pay for their kid's education and not at all to support the development of their talents.?

TV Teams from London and Cape Town have reported about these "little Pavarottis". That was a very interesting story and everybody talks about it. This show makes it obvious, that one of the educational problems worldwide is the fact, that many gifted children have no chance to develop their talent due to financial problems of their parents. As long as there are no special funds available their talent will be gone in the w
